Continuous cover forestry can often give better results than
rotation forestry with clear fellings in several ways:
- The present value of forest production can increase if the forest
management decisions are well selected.
- The conditions for reindeer heerding are much better with
continuous cover forestry.
- Hunting, tourism and recreation all gain from continuous cover forestry.
