This web page includes the following:

Part 1. Fundamental texts, in Swedish, on optimal continuous cover forest management
These texts show that it often is more economically profitable to use continuous cover
forest management than to use clear fellings and "rotation forestry".
These conclusions are based on completely described economical calculations.
Every person who has studied high school mathematics should be able to repeat
these calculations and agree with every conclusion.

Part 2. Photos from an excursion to a forest with large tree size variation

Part 3. Some more advanced texts, mostly in English, om optimal continuous cover forestry

Part 4. More photos, including animals, fishing, photo experiments etc.

I vissa situationer är kontinuitetsskogsbruk lönsammare än kalhyggesskogsbruk

Below: Notes from three observation points

A standard relascope (1/50) was used to select the trees to report.
All of these trees belong to the species Norwegian spruce (Picea abies).
The first column (from the left) represents the number of the tree.
The second column represents tree diameters.
The diameters (cm at 1.3 meters above ground) of all trees obtained by the relascope are reported.
Some of the trees are investigated with more details.
The heights (meters) ("h") of these trees are also found in the notes.
These trees are also investigated with respect to:
- Number of year rings ("brha") at 1.3 meters above ground.
- The growth of the radius during the latest five years (mm) ("r-tillv") (at 1.3 meters above ground).
